Nico van Rijn was a Dutch painter, born in Hilversum and active in places such as Laren and Blaricum. He was trained in The Hague and initially worked in the style of the Hague School. Later, he developed an expressive style with vivid colors and influences from luminism, post-impressionism, and expressionism. His work includes landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and interiors. Van Rijn lived a secluded life and received little recognition during his lifetime, but was supported by collector Sal Slijper. After his death, his work found a place in institutions such as the Singer Museum in Laren.

Dimensions of work without frame: 17 x 52 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. Additionally, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. Furthermore, we collaborate with restorers from the professional organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you wish to make use of this service, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
