Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Roadster 1962. De Jaguar E-Type is een icoon dat zijn gelijke bijna niet kent. Toen Jaguar in 1961 de eerste E-Type presenteerde op de Autosalon van Genève, stond de wereld versteld. De combinatie van race-techniek, een monocoque-constructie die zijn tijd ver vooruit was, en een elegant design dat tijdloos zou blijken, maakte de E-Type onmiddellijk legendarisch. Enzo Ferrari bestempelde hem zelfs als “de mooiste auto ooit gebouwd”.

Met zijn 3.8-liter XK-motor, de lange karakteristieke neus en pure mechanische beleving wordt de vroege Series 1 Roadster beschouwd als de meest zuivere en gewilde uitvoering. Links-gestuurde vroege exemplaren zijn zeldzaam, verzamelwaardig en vormen de essentie van Jaguars gouden sportwagenerfgoed.

Restauratiegeschiedenis:
1988–1991 – Carrosseriewerk en onderdelen (Oldtimer Veteranen Shop GmbH, Idstein, Duitsland)
Uit talloze facturen tussen 1988 en 1991 blijkt een volledige structurele restauratie, inclusief aanschaf van originele Jaguar-onderdelen:

1993 – Mechanische restauratie (Vetcar Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH, Karlstadt-Stetten, Duitsland)
Een factuur van 1 oktober 1993 toont onder meer:
•	Nieuwe startmotor, gaskleppen en carburateurrevisiesets
•	Revisie van de cilinderkop, nieuwe kleppen en geleiders
•	Vernieuwd brandstofsysteem (Mitsuba-pomp, leidingen, fittingen)
