Een klassieke Mercedes 219, dit model is bekend als W105, en ook als de “grote Ponton” met 6 cilinder lijnmotor. Op zich zeldzaam, het is een model gepositioneerd tussen de kleinere W120 Ponton serie en de grotere S 220 klasse. De vader van de laatste Zweedse eigenaar kocht de auto in 1963; op dat moment had de auto sinds de bouw in 1959 slechts 1 eigenaar gehad. Sinds de familie de auto kocht, zijn alle bonnen bewaard en is vrijwel elke tankbeurt gedocumenteerd. Elke zomer reisde de familie op vakantie naar de Tornevallei in Zweden en ze maakten ook reizen met de auto naar Nederland en Engeland. Halverwege de jaren tachtig werd een nieuwere auto aangeschaft en de Mercedes stond grotendeels stil in een verwarmde garage. De familie kocht ook een donorauto, die veel van de reserveonderdelen leverde die bij de Mercedes worden meegeleverd.

Documenten:
De auto kan tegen meerprijs van 50 euro met Zweedse EU Export documenten worden geleverd, zodat een eventuele buitenlandse nieuwe eigenaar de auto gemakkelijk in zijn/haar land kan registreren

Carrosserie:
Ergens in de jaren 80 onderging de auto roestreparaties en werd hij opnieuw gespoten. Aluminium binnenschermen werden gemaakt om het risico op nieuwe roestvorming te verminderen en er werd een roestvrijstalen uitlaatsysteem gemonteerd, dat er vandaag de dag nog steeds onder zit.
Onderzijde is behoorlijk goed, wel enigszinds vies (zand, de familie woonde aan een zandweg) en is ongetwijfeld verbetering mogelijk.

Technisch: 
In 1995 nam de laatste Zweedse eigenaar het familie-erfstuk over en sindsdien heeft hij er slechts ongeveer 5.000 km mee gereden. De brandstofpomp en radiateur zijn een paar jaar geleden gereviseerd en in 2025 zijn de remschoenen, wielcilinders, hoofdremcilinder en carburateur gereviseerd. De 219 remt prima, stuurt goed, het starten gaat wat aarzelend, maar als hij een beetje op bedrijfstemperatuur is functioneert hij prima.
Bij de Mercedes worden diverse dozen met reserveonderdelen, documentatie bestaande uit bonnen en keuringsrapporten (zie foto's) en drie sets sleutels geleverd.

Interieur:
Na verloop van tijd werd de hemelbekleding lelijk, dus naaide de eigenaar een nieuwe hemelbekleding die nog steeds in de auto zit. Hij installeerde ook oprolbare veiligheidsgordels voor extra veiligheid. Het interieur is netjes, met gebruikssporen. De brandstofmeter werkt een beetje aarzelend.
De verkoper heeft vele contacten in binnenland en buitenland, en kan u helpen aan adressen waar eventuele nieuwe / gebruikte onderdelen worden verkocht.

Transport:
De auto staat in Hengevelde, Nederland en kan hier vanzelfsprekend worden opgehaald. De auto kan tegen meerprijs van 150 euro (excl BTW) binnen Nederland worden bezorgd (excl. De Waddeneilanden)
