The narrativity of the painting:
The artist Iacob seeks to reveal his own world through his paintings and to convince the viewer through it. He lives with a vision shaped by introspection, deeply marked by antiquity. His desire is to express his personality through the way he transforms everything, from nature to garments, within any given context.

It’s a piece where the artist quietly highlights the armor’s material presence, the cool shine, the subtle reflections, the careful edges. The knight and horse feel secondary to the surface itself, as if the metal is the true point of focus. It’s understated, but the attention to detail makes the scene feel tangible and close.

About the artist:
Iacob Mircea holds both a BA and an MA in Painting, and is currently in the final year of his PhD in Painting, all completed with merit scholarships. His artistic path reflects a wide professional range, from having his studio at the Palace of Culture in Ploiești to engaging in international projects in New York, including a partnership with Ralph Lauren.
He has presented numerous solo exhibitions in Romania and abroad, participating both individually and as part of the academic group of the National University of Arts in Bucharest.
