Description from the seller

William Booth (1829-1912) was an English Methodist preacher.
Together with his wife Catherine, he founded the Christian movement in London in 1865, which later became known as The Salvation Army.
The organization had a quasi-military structure and focused on evangelization and social reform, particularly among the poor in London's East End.
The Salvation Army grew into one of the largest distributors of humanitarian aid worldwide.
