Antica cornice in legno con decorazione foglia oro.
La cornice presenta antichi restauri e qualche segno del tempo.
Si nota nella parte retrostante una tecnica usata in passato detta a: cornice a tiranti che venivano usati per rinforzare il telaio. 
In questa cornice proposta in asta è assente un tirante ligneo che non è arrivato ai nostri giorni. 
Questa cornice è stata trovata in una vecchia Abbazia nella regione Toscana.
Probabilmente venne costruita per incorniciare qualche antico dipinto che purtroppo è andato perduto ed è stata utilizzata a lungo tempo per incorniciare una scena di bassa corte con galline di un artista importante già venduto in una precedente asta. 
La corne si presenta in eccellenti condizioni la doratura è autentica e coeva ed i restauri eseguiti le hanno ridonato la bellezza odierna.
