Set of two antique boxes – marquetry and glove box – France, late 19th century.

Lot consisting of two elegant antique boxes from the late 19th century.
A light wood glove box decorated with a marquetry strip and the word “Gants” on the Charles X nailed lid.

A rectangular box in geometric marquetry of precious woods and inlays, with corners highlighted with brass.

French work, circa 1880-1900.
Very good overall condition, light signs of use. Original hinges and clean interior.
