It is the moment when everything comes to a standstill – not out of fear, but because nothing needs to be said right now. Just one breath – held, not forgotten. Between two breaths is this fleeting state, in which we briefly do not think, do not speak, do not decide.

The black marks on the white surface evoke emotions that have been released – or are about to be released. Perhaps something has happened: a word, a glance, an insight. And now... there is only this in-between space.

The left side of the image seems like an exclamation that was not fully spoken out. The right side spreads out like a quiet echo – or like something that still wants to come.

This image does not breathe loudly. It whispers. It forces us to go into the pause with it – to the place where we feel before we understand. An in-between space that reveals more about us than any clear word.
