Spanish American War blanket which I inherited from my ancestor John Barlow Smith. He served in the 33rd Michigan Volunteer Infantry. He saw action at the Battle of Aguadores on July 1, 1898, a diversionary attack supporting the main San Juan Hill conflict. Very little damage as you can see in the photos.
