The scene depicts the biblical passage of the Annunciation, in which the Archangel Gabriel appears before the Virgin Mary to announce the divine incarnation. The Virgin, in a reclining position and with a gesture of humility, receives the kneeling angel carrying lilies, a symbol of purity. Above, three cherubs float among clouds while the dove of the Holy Spirit descends surrounded by a golden glow. The composition highlights the spirituality of the moment with a background of warm tones and a marked use of chiaroscuro to accentuate the figures.

The work maintains a solemn and devotional character, typical of Italian Renaissance religious painting, where the serene gestures and the richness of the folds in the garments reinforce the mystical atmosphere.
