Description from the seller

This type of foghorn was invented by the Norwegian captain O.C. Hansen from Skudeneshavn. He obtained a patent for the horn in 1881 and produced them himself until 1917. Afterwards, others took over production, and until 1960, this type of foghorn was made in Norway.

In Great Britain, many of these horns were made under the designation Norwegian Pattern. It is likely that this is also a British example. In the case, two bellows are driven by a crank to fill a third bellows. This then supplies the air for the horn. This size of horn is the most common.

This piece comes from a merchant ship and was once purchased by me at a maritime auction.
The horn still works and looks better in real life than in the photos.

It will be shipped well packaged, and a tracking code will be provided after shipping.
