Prachtige Lagonda 16/80 Tourer T2 van 1934

Het gaat hierbij om een Lagonda met een carrosserie van staal, gecombineerd met een houten frame. De carrosserie vorm is een 3-deurs tourer. De Lagonda is gefabriceerd in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en daar oorspronkelijk ook nieuw geleverd, voorzien van een Silent Running Pillarless Saloon carrosserie.

In 1991 is door de firma Kevin Roskruge de huidige T2 carrosserie geplaatst. De huidige eigenaar heeft de auto in 2008 aangeschaft en geregistreerd in Nederland. De Lagonda 16/80 is geproduceerd in de periode 1932 - 1934. In deze  periode zijn er volgens beschikbare informatie in totaal slechts 261 chassis vervaardigd met daarop verschillende types carrosserieën.

Een van de eerdere eigenaren van deze Lagonda is Bernie Ecclestone, de ex-Formule 1 baas. Uit beschikbare en bijgeleverde documentatie blijkt dat Ecclestone de Lagonda in maart 1996 verwierf. Hij was eigenaar tot 2008, waarna de huidige eigenaar de auto naar Nederland haalde.

De Lagonda heeft tevens een FIVA Identity Card met nummer 045940, geldig tot juni 2021. Het laatste taxatie rapport van 2023 omschrijft dat "het voertuig welhaast in een concoursstaat verkeert". Classificatie 2 - Zeer goede staat. 

Deze auto verkeert dan ook in een prachtige en technische topstaat. De 6 cilinder lijnmotor is enkele jaren geleden geheel professioneel gereviseerd door een specialist. De kosten hiervoor waren ruim 25.000 euro. Foto's en info van de revisie zijn ook beschikbaar.

De carrosserie is eveneens in een prachtige staat. De auto werd langer geleden gerestaureerd. De lak in diep donkerblauw heeft een prachtige uitstraling en glans. Alle ornamenten en chroomdelen zijn in fantastische conditie.

Als extra kon er een pre-select gearbox geleverd worden op de Lagonda en dit exemplaar is daarmee uitgevoerd.
De acceleratie is daardoor wat sneller geworden. Zoals eerder aangegeven is de auto in een geweldige staat en alles werkt zoals het hoort. Motor, versnellingsbak en remmen zijn in perfecte staat. Er zijn na de motor revisie verschillende lange ritten gereden met de auto zonder problemen. Alle schakelaars en meters op het dashboard werken goed, evenals de verlichting.

Uiteraard is er een keurige cabrioletkap bij de auto met inzet zijramen, alles goed werkend.
De wielophanging en vering zijn zeer goed in orde en zorgen voor een goede en stille wegligging.
Deze bijzondere Lagonda is een geweldige auto om mee te rijden, waarbij 120 km per uur op de snelweg geen enkel probleem is.

Er is veel historie bij de auto. De huidige eigenaar heeft de auto sinds 2008. Zoals eerder aangegeven is de Lagonda ruim 12 jaar in bezit geweest van de voormalige F1 eigenaar Bernie Ecclestone. Kopiëen van de Engelse papieren geven dat aan en worden meegeleverd. Ook de UK nummerplaten zijn nog bij de auto en worden meegeleverd. Leuk om te vermelden is dat de Nederlandse nummerplaten zijn vervaardigd in Engeland en met een "Engelse look" op de auto zitten. Uiteraard zijn de Nederlandse blauwe nummerplaten ook bij de auto.

Het gaat hier om een fantastische Lagonda met een prachtige historie die absoluut bij een "fijnproever"- verzamelaar thuis hoort.

Het taxatierapport en overige documenten zijn op aanvraag beschikbaar.

De auto staat in Valkenswaard, Nederland en kan uitgebreid bekeken worden. Dit is aan te bevelen alvorens een bod uit te brengen en problemen achteraf te voorkomen. Afspraak daarvoor via Catawiki.

Bij verkoop buiten Nederland kan het export document worden bijgeleverd. Transport in overleg.
