Chinees gegoten bronzen Ding.

Dit is een traditioneel gegoten ketel op 3 poten met twee tegenover elkaar liggende handvaten met gelijkmatige patina.
Ze behoren tot de belangrijkste vormen die gebruikt werden als Chinese rituele bronzen voorwerpen.
Ze werden gebruikt als wierookpot, om te koken, voedsel in te bewaren en rituele offers te brengen aan goden of voorouders.

Het diende als symbool van status en macht.

Het is een iconisch stukje Chinese kunst en archeologie dat zowel praktisch als diep symbolisch was.

Op de binnenzijde van de doos staat in het Chinees geschreven: 
“Op weg naar welvaart
Creëer samen schittering
De ding, een belangrijk nationaal erfgoed, vindt zijn oorsprong in de Yin- en Shang-dynastieën. Het is een juweel van de traditionele Chinese cultuur, een symbool van voorspoed en een belofte van volledige steun.”
