Secretaire antico con ricchi intarsi (inizio XX secolo)

Magnifico secretaire antico, realizzato in Italia agli inizi del XX secolo, caratterizzato da una lavorazione artigianale di alto livello e da eleganti decorazioni intarsiate a motivi floreali e fitomorfi. Il mobile è costruito in legni misti pregiati, tra cui noce, ciliegio e radiche chiare, abilmente combinati per creare contrasti cromatici armoniosi.

Il fronte presenta la tipica linea mossa dello stile Luigi XV / inizio stile Liberty, con cassetti sagomati e gambe arcuate a voluta. Gli intarsi sono eseguiti con notevole maestria: volute, foglie e piccoli cartigli decorativi che arricchiscono cassetti, lati e ribalta. La ribalta, apribile tramite chiave, funge da piano scrittoio e rivela un interno raffinato con piccoli cassetti centrali e vani laterali, anch’essi rifiniti con cura.

L’interno conserva la suddivisione originale, ideale per riporre corrispondenza, strumenti di scrittura o oggetti personali. Le maniglie sono coeve, in metallo lavorato, con una patina autentica che ne attesta l’epoca.

Magnificent antique Italian secretaire, crafted in the early 20th century and distinguished by its exquisite marquetry and high-quality traditional craftsmanship. The structure is made of fine mixed woods — walnut, cherry, and light burl veneers — skillfully combined to create elegant decorative contrasts.

The serpentine front and curved cabriole legs recall the Louis XV revival style with early Italian Liberty influences. The front, sides, and drop-front writing flap are richly adorned with floral and foliate marquetry, executed with great precision.
The drop-front opens into a beautifully arranged interior featuring small central drawers and side niches, all finely finished. The compartment layout is original and ideal for storing letters, writing instruments or small valuables. The metal handles are original and bear a charming aged patina.
