La Vérité (occasionally released under its English translation The Truth) is a 1960 French drama film directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot, and starring Brigitte Bardot, Sami Frey, Paul Meurisse and Charles Vanel. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

Sometimes, on film sets, cinema and reality blend together for romances worth remembering. Indeed, it's not uncommon to see our favorite actors turn into lovebirds and form real relationships once the cameras are off, after many scenes together. This is what happened at the dawn of the sixties, during the filming of La Vérité, directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot. The director witnessed the affair between Sami Frey and Brigitte Bardot, whom Arte pays tribute to this Monday evening. The actress, who passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, indeed experienced a passionate romance during the shooting of this film...
