Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
A set of two speaking trumpets, one brass (estimated 1900–1910) and one wooden (estimated 1930–1940), of Dutch origin, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and spots and weighing about 100 g.
Description from the seller
A special set with 2 speaking-tube whistles.
One is made of brass.
And the other is made of wood.
Both are still working fine.
Especially the wooden flute is very rare. This may also come from the 19th century. There is a very small piece of the wood missing (see last photo).
The whistle was used to warn the receiver, for example in the engine room, that a message was coming, after which one could speak into the speaking tube to convey a message.
A beautiful set that will not look out of place in a maritime collection or for the restoration of old ships.
Photos form part of the description.
The flute is carefully packaged, shipped registered and insured, with a track and trace code.
