The 14th London Olympics in 1948
It attracted attention as the first postwar Olympic Games.Athletes from many countries participated in these Games as a symbol of recovery and an opportunity to reaffirm the Olympic spirit.

There were three types of medals awarded: gold, silver, and bronze.Here, the bronze medal is explained.On the surface of the medal are silhouettes of Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster, the iconic buildings of London.In addition to this, the words "XIV OLYMPIAD," "LONDON," and "1948" are engraved, clearly indicating the year and location of the Olympics.At the bottom is the Olympic symbol, the Olympic five rings.

On the reverse side, the design reflects the atmosphere of the ancient Olympic Games.It depicts athletes on horse-drawn carriages raising the crown of victory, symbolizing the glory of the games.The design underscores the history and tradition of the Olympic Games and celebrates the athletes' efforts and triumphs.

The London 1948 Olympic Games were a symbol of post-war reconstruction and international unity, and this medal is an important symbol of its historical significance.
