Porcelain coffee or tea set from France, circa 1900–1910, in excellent condition with floral violet and lavender motifs and sprayed gold on the edges, handles and base, including a sugar bowl (15 cm), a milk jug (14 cm and 400 ml), eight cups (8 cm high, 8 cm diameter, 200 ml each) and eight saucers (13.5 cm diameter).
Description from the seller
A porcelain coffee or tea set with floral motifs and gold ornaments. Such sets are often associated with styles such as Baroque and Art Nouveau and date from the late 19th or early 20th century.
Made in France in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this service still retains its beauty.
The decoration is floral with beautiful violets, delicate lavender and green tones.
The edge of the cup, the handle and the base are covered with sprayed gold.
Only part of it is marked with numbering - Sugar bowl, Milk jug, which is normal for this period.
Many large manufactories at that time produced unmarked vessels that were painted by independent artists in small studios.
And this is exactly what makes them even more valuable and unique.
The set consists of:
Sugar bowl, height 15 cm.
Milk jug, height 14 cm., capacity 400 ml.
8 cups, height 8 cm., diameter at the top 8 cm., capacity 200 ml.
8 saucers, diameter 13.5 cm.
Condition: Excellent for its age. Only a small scratch on the inside of the milk jug, which I have shown in the photos.
This service is worth it! And the decor is one of the rarest and most sought after! It will be carefully packaged!
