Ottaviani - Medallion "Angel" in 925 silver and polychrome enamels - 1960s/70s

Splendid circular pendant in 925 sterling silver produced by the prestigious Ottaviani silversmiths of Recanati, Italy. The piece depicts an angel in bas-relief, created using the repoussé technique, enriched by refined inserts of blue and turquoise enamel.
The object is mounted on an elegant circular stand covered with blue velvet on the front and moiré fabric on the back, complete with the original hook for hanging (pendant or sacred decoration).
The diameter of the medallion, including the velvet frame, is 12 cm; the inner plaque alone, in silver, is 8 cm.
Author: OTTAVIANI (signed on the front, bottom right).
Material: 925 silver (the '925' stamp and the maker's mark present).
Era: Circa 1960-1970.
Technique: Repoussé silver with cold/hot enameling.
Subject: praying guardian angel in Italian modernist style.
The item is presented in good vintage condition. The silver shows a beautiful natural patina of time (not polished to preserve its authenticity).
Please note: As visible in the macro photographs, there are some small partial losses of the enamel on the Angel's wings, due to age, which do not diminish its beauty. The velvet and the rear support are intact and well preserved.
