Early 1900s - Pitcher - Stoneware

The pitcher presented in photos was most probably made in Alsace - France in the second half of 18th century or early 19th century. This type of traditional stoneware pottery was usually used for storing wine, but other liquids also. Its gray tonned saltglazed surface is rudimentary decorated with a few strokes of blue suggesting a vegetal patern. Typical antique features are noticeable through irregularities and sticked small pieces of surplus material in some areas as a result of classical firing procedures. Condition of this stoneware jug is excellent, with no fisures, chips or other damages. Dimensions: Height - 25cm, Diameter - 15cm, Weight - 1.25kg . Fast shipment with tracking number through international post or courier services. Objects are packed with extra attention for the safety of buyer.
