Bronze candelabrum signed Victor Paillard (1805–1886), circa 1850–1870.

Elegant, finely chiseled bronze candelabrum with five light arms, in Neoclassical style. The central shaft rests on a base richly decorated with foliate and ornamental motifs, supporting five finely worked light arms.

The piece bears the relief signature “VP” surmounted by a crown, an authentic mark of the famous Parisian bronzier Victor Paillard, active under the Second Empire. Paillard is renowned for the quality of his casting and the finesse of his chasing, exhibited at the World’s Fairs of 1855 and 1867.

Maximum width: 20 cm


Condition: Very good overall condition, original patina, light wear consistent with age.

A superb example of French craftsmanship from the 19th century, rare and sought-after by collectors.
