Puppet - Wood - 1980-1990

This object is a traditional puppet in the shape of an elephant.
The marionette is made of carved wood and consists of several movable parts that are connected to each other by strings. Control is via a wooden cross-shaped control rod, with which the head, legs, and trunk can be moved separately.
The elephant is richly dressed in a decorative textile costume, adorned with sequins, beads, and gold-colored embroidery. The head is fitted with an elegant headdress, while the body is covered with an embroidered covering. Painted details have been added to the head and legs to enhance the expression.
