Historic cowbell made of iron dating to the late 19th to early 20th century, hand‑made with the original heavy iron clapper, riveted construction, top loop, about 19–20 cm high, 11–12 cm wide and around 0.5 kg, in used condition with rust patina.
Description from the seller
Large historic iron cow bell / cattle bell with original clapper.
The bell is made of thick iron sheet, riveted, and shows a pronounced rust and patina that have developed over decades. The surface is untreated and deliberately not restored, which underlines the authentic character of this agricultural utilitarian object.
Inside, there is the original heavy iron clapper, which is still present and firmly mounted.
The bell has a sturdy eyelet on the top for attaching to a carrying strap or leather collar.
The shape, material thickness, and workmanship point to traditional handcrafted production.
These bells were used in rural daily life to mark and locate grazing livestock and are today sought-after objects for collectors, decoration, or rustic interiors.
