This listing features a set of two vintage Japanese tea bowls created by Japanese ceramic artists.
Each bowl was made by a different artist, yet together they harmonize beautifully through the shared Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi—the appreciation of natural imperfection and quiet beauty.

Both pieces showcase soft ash-glaze tones, organic kiln effects formed during firing, and the warmth of clay that can only be achieved through handcraft.
Unlike perfectly balanced industrial ceramics, these bowls express Japan’s unique sensibility of finding beauty in asymmetry and irregularity, embodying the spirit of wabi-sabi.

The subtle distortions in form and individual differences are intentional artistic expressions, not defects.

Each bowl comes with its own signed wooden storage box (tomobako), confirming them as authentic works by Japanese ceramic artists.
