Silkscreen adaptation of the portrait of Jodorowsky, inspired by the poster of the film “El Topo”.
Dessin réalisé au trait par Jean Giraud (Gir), représentant l'acteur et réalisateur Alejandro Jodorowsky (son collaborateur de longue date), dans le rôle d'El Topo,
Several film posters were created or illustrated by Giraud in the 1970s/80s, for French and international releases.
El Topo (La Taupe) is a Mexican psychedelic and surreal Western released in 1970,
directed and starred by Alejandro Jodorowsky, an enigmatic gunslinger.
The film received the strongest press reviews and inspired many artists.
Jodorowsky published a sequel in comic form with José Ladrönn: The Sons of El Topo.
Alejandro Jodorowsky, who was the screenwriter for Jean Giraud, among other stories, in the John Difool series (L’Incal).
Jean Giraud collaborated with Jodorowsky on several major projects around the visual universe of his films and brought there a immediately recognizable graphic touch.
