A very fine antique 4/4 violin, labeled LORENZO VENTAPANE FABBRICANTE DI STRUMENTI DA CORDE Abita Calata Borgo di Loreto N°. 23. The instrument is in good condition with two small repaired cracks on top. The violin has an excellent straight medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple. Matched sides and scroll. Rich brown color varnish shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 590 mm and the back 360 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 166 mm; middle bouts: 111 mm; lower bouts: 205 mm. Full size. Insured shipping with DHL worldwide
