Virgile, Oeuvres de Virgile, a new translation in a bilingual edition with the Latin text facing, in four 12mo volumes (1736) published in Paris by Barboy, rebound in full calf with red spine labels and red edges, totaling about 1500 pages, including a folding plate in volume II, in good condition with noticeable wear to boards and spine but overall solid.

4 volumes in-12 (170x110 mm), full calf leather, ornate spine with raised bands, title and volume labels in red morocco, red edges (bindings of the period). Wear and rubbing on the boards and spine, upper and lower hinges split but overall perfectly solid. Interior fresh, rare foxing.
New translation of the Works of Virgil in a bilingual edition with the Latin text on the facing pages; with historical and geographical notes by Abbot De La Landelle de Saint Remy.
Complete in four volumes and with the fold-out plate in volume II depicting an imaginary landscape.
