Beautiful religious sculpture – Madonna and Child – 20th century

Very atmospheric and detailed religious statue of Mary with the Christ Child, executed in a warm dark brown patina. Mary is depicted in an elegant, flowing stance with richly draped garments, while she tenderly cradles the child in her arms. The expressive facial expressions and the fine finish point to craftsmanship and artistic quality.
