Très belle lettre autographe signée de Pierre Daru, homme d'État et homme de lettres français. Comte d'Empire, il est l'homme dont Napoléon Ier à Sainte-Hélène résumait l'éloge en ces termes : « Il joint le travail du bœuf au courage du lion. »
