Le Comte Daru - Lettre autographe signée - 1823

A very beautiful autograph letter signed by Pierre Daru, French statesman and man of letters. Count of the Empire, he is the man whom Napoleon I, at Saint Helena, summarized the praise of in these terms: “He combines the toil of the ox with the courage of the lion.”
