Description from the seller
Beautiful, old viola bow, probably of French origin, with the maker’s stamp A.VIGNERIN A PARIS. The bow stick is nicely straight and the hair has been renewed recently. The total length is 73.5 cm, with a weight of 67 g, the balance at 27 cm, and the stick has a diameter of 9 mm, tapering to 6 mm at the tip. The bow frog is ebony, the metal parts are nickel-silver, and the inlays are mother-of-pearl. The bow shows only light signs of use, which do not affect the play in any way, see photo. It sits well in the hand and grips excellently in all registers. Neatly packed, it will be shipped with Colissimo, trackable online.
As ‘certified’ or ‘ascribed’ violins and bows described include images of their certificates and thus carry a higher degree of documented certainty regarding the maker, origin and age than instruments described only as ‘labeled’ (violins) or ‘stamped’ (bows), for which we make no warranty.
