Roman-numeraled (No. IX) and signed by Lies Verdenius
Format: 23–31 cm
Language: Dutch

Condition: As new.
On the occasion of the exhibition 'Boundless' Art Books, organized by the AGA, Lies Verdenius drew inspiration from a poem by Bernlef for her new edition 'The Free Field'.
The poem with the same title 'The Free Field' breathes an atmosphere of silence, emptiness, and space. The lines "Threads hang from the sky, carelessly fastened" and "moving in the wind (for it always blows there)" led her to use the swaying, drooping branches of a weeping willow as the image. These are incorporated into a series of lithographs with the verses printed therein.
