Description from the seller
Decorative duck-shaped table lamp, vintage model with a body made of pressed and molded glass, orange translucent frosted (crackle-textured skin effect), mounted on a head, neck, and beak in patinated brass/bronze with a matte black finish.
Charming and original piece from the 1970s-1980s (mid-century decorative animal-style / vintage kitsch), the duck is depicted in a reclining position, with a head finely detailed in brass (bill, eyes and textured plumage), and the hollow body in orange glass that emits a warm and cozy light when illuminated. Functional wiring with a switch on the cord.
Dimensions :
- Total length: 21 cm
- Height: 14.5 cm
- Width: 11 cm
- Weight: 1200 g (stable piece; brass and glass combined offer good density)
Condition: good overall, very decent for a vintage lamp. No breakage, cracks, or major chips visible on the glass. Authentic brass patina with slight traces of oxidation and minor scratches normal for its age (no excessive wear). Orange glass intact with no cracks or discoloration. Works perfectly, warm and pleasant light.
Provenance: from a Belgian private collection.
Secure shipping with professional packaging suitable for a fragile item made of glass and metal.
A fun and quirky decorative lamp, ideal for a cozy atmosphere, a child’s room, a vintage bookshelf, or a collection of luminous animal figurines from the 70s–80s. A small object full of charm, with a beautiful contrast between the glowing orange glass and the dark brass.
