Labeled antique 4/4 violin. As the photos shows - It’s a repair-project. Labeled inside with Nicolaus Amatus
In Cremena 1617. The Last two digits are hand written. Not from 1617 but more like 1875 - 1925 and therefore a copy after Nicolaus Amatus. The Sound post is inside the violin as the photo shows (grey arrow). Surface wear of use. No heavy damages on the case. Otherwise condition as shown on the photos. The violin is 57 cm long. Case measures: 35 cm long, 18 cm wide and 4,7 cm high.
Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind.
