Vase in the shape of a hu or rectangular fanghu in bronze, with enamel inlays close to cloisonné.
Relief figure on the two main sides of the vase, plus a dragon or other difficult-to-define creature on the sides, Chinese characters signifying longevity.
Bronze pedestal with inlays similar to the vase; both have a beautiful patina marking the effects of time.
Main features:
Material: Solid bronze with brown patina nuanced with greenish highlights.
Decor: * Main faces adorned with reliefs depicting Taoist Immortals in a landscape of pines, pavilions, and foaming waves.
Sides decorated with large stylized characters "Shou" (Longevity) in blue-inlaid color.
Side handles in the shape of mythical creatures.
Neck adorned with Taotie masks (protection) and geometric friezes.
Use: Can serve as a decorative vase or as an incense burner (the top is pierced to allow incense smoke to pass).

Context and style
An archaizing object probably dating from the late Qing Dynasty or the Republican Era (early 20th century). The quality of the alloy and the piece’s exceptional weight make it a showcase or interior decoration piece of great presence.
