Carved and engraved rectangular brown Chinese Seal with fish -China- Qing dynasty
On offer is a fine quality antique brown non-translucent Chinese natural stone Seal. It has a finely carved fish, water lily leaf and pearl on top. One side of the seal is engraved with Chinese characters. The face of the seal is carved in good quality with 4 stylized Chinese characters. Provenance: closed private collection. During the coming period, we will offer several pieces at a time, coming from the same collection. Please use your knowledge and judge for yourself, we offer it without reserve price. Origin: Recently, we had the privilege of acquiring a richly varied collection of old/antique Chinese stone seals. These remarkable seals have been brought together over many years by a private collector. They consist of good quality authentic Chinese seals made from various colored mineral stones, including possibly shoushan stone (larderite). The dating varies; but they are all from the Qing period to the 20th century.
Carved by: Unknown. Carving reads: Qing dynasty style seal for my brother Shaobai, Songcong.
Dated: Year unknown; by engravings content and stylistic grounds dating to the end of Qing dynasty.
Size: Measures 67 mm * 20 mm * 16 mm.
Weight: 51,3 gram.
Condition: Excellent, typical age related wear from use. No damage!
Will be packed very well and shipped with registered track/trace with insurance. Combined shipping offered
