Sculpture, "Ornamento religioso" - 24 cm - Walnut

fragment of a tabernacle door or part of sacred furniture, made in Italy in noble wood and dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
Present a golden Eucharistic chalice with sun rays and the letters IHS (Iesus Hominum Salvator) in the center.
Around the chalice are depicted clusters of grapes and ears of wheat, symbols of the wine and the Eucharistic bread.
These elements were fundamental in churches and chapels for storing the consecrated hosts.
The dimensions are approximately 24 x 20 x 3 cm.
Good conditions, normal traces of time and consumption.
I don't ship outside the European Union.
The lot will be carefully packed and shipped in a reinforced polystyrene box.
