Prof. Ernst Fuchs (1930), "The King of Kings", here the number 7 of 150 copies, color aquatint, hand-signed. Size of the sheet: 61 x 46 cm. Ernst Fuchs was an Austrian artist and co-founder of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism. His works are characterized by a blend of old-master technique, religious mysticism, and surreal elements. Prince of painters: Because of his extravagant appearance, often with his characteristic cap and his versatility (painting, sculpture, architecture, composition), he was regarded as one of the last princes of painters. Vienna School: Together with artists such as Rudolf Hausner and Arik Brauer, after 1945 he developed a style that presented biblical and mythological themes in a detailed, fantastical manner. In addition to painting, he designed opera productions (e.g., for Richard Wagner), wrote poetry, and commented on music. The frame is for display purposes only!!!!!
