In 2008, Kamagurka created a painting for every day of the year, 366 in total. The Kamalmanak is a full-color compilation of all these works. Featuring commentary by, among others, Rudy Vandendaele, Paul Steenhuis, Willy Van den Bussche, Jan Florizoone and Jonas Mortier.
The works gathered in this book were exhibited at Museum Jan van der Togt in Amstelveen.
Kamagurka, pseudonym of Luc Charles Zeebroek, (Nieuwpoort, May 5, 1956) is a Belgian cartoonist, singer and all-round artist. He makes shows for radio, television and theater but is mainly known for his absurd cartoons in the weekly magazine Humo. He has few fixed comic characters, but Bert and Bobje are the best known. He also writes the scripts for Herr Seeles' Cowboy Henk strip. He studied art education in Bruges and continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Ghent, but did not obtain a diploma. He was inspired by the absurd and shocking strips and cartoons of Robert Crumb, Roland Topor and the controversial French magazine Hara-Kiri.
