Description from the seller
Stefan Pauli (1949–2019) – Signed metal sculpture – Switzerland
Signed minimalist metal sculpture by Swiss artist Stefan Pauli (1949–2019), Solothurn.
The sculpture consists of a continuous, solidly worked metal body (approx. 43 × 5 × 5 cm, weight 8.21 kg). Two wedge-shaped, geometric volumes are crafted from a single piece and form a tense architectural composition.
In the narrow gap between the two elements lies a small metal figure, apparently overcoming the space. This motif—the human figure in dialogue with a reduced, constructive form—is characteristic of Pauli's sculptural work.
The dark, naturally grown patina underscores the materiality and gives the work a strong sculptural presence.
The sculpture is signed with "S. Pauli."
Material: patinated metal
Dimensions: approx. 43 × 5 × 5 cm
Weight: 8,210 g
Edition: One of a kind
