Description from the seller

A very rare antique violin is up for auction.
I consider this instrument to be unique due to the fretboard and the engraving!
The fretboard is two-piece.
The engraving beneath the Zäpfchen seems not European.
Only 1813-44 is decipherable.
The violin was certainly played very often.
There is a repaired spot on the right F-hole of the one-piece soundboard.
A crack was also glued onto the snail.
The beautiful one-piece floor is in impeccable used condition.
