Decorative ornament - Buddhist stupa - Myanmar

This object is an hti (Buddhist stupa), the distinctive decorative tip in the shape of an umbrella that sits atop Buddhist temples. This particular specimen is an ancient and authentic piece, originating from the Mandalay region and datable to around the 19th century (1800).
