A large Chinese six‑sided lantern carved from hardwood with reverse-painted glass panels, dating to the late 20th century and inspired by antique style, with dimensions 82 cm wide by 74 cm high by 38 cm deep, origin China, weight 3 kg, part of a lot of 13 items, in very good condition with minimal aging, a small glass panel replaced by milky glass and a small wooden chip on the side, suitable as a hanging lamp or an exclusive decorative piece.

Offered is a beautiful and imposing Chinese hexagonal lantern, commonly referred to as an "ice lantern."
This richly decorated object is a magnificent example of traditional Chinese decorative art and craftsmanship.
The lantern is carved from a dark hardwood (likely rosewood or mahogany), entirely by hand. The corners of the lantern are adorned with detailed, openwork dragon sculptures and geometric patterns.
The six sides feature glass panels that have been reverse-painted on the back.
The paintings depict classic Chinese scenes, including expansive mountain landscapes, floral motifs, and traditional figures, executed in a refined color palette.
