Pot - Wood - Burmese Staple Box

Traditional Burmese (Myanmar) lacquered multi-tiered box - Picnic Tiffin – Handmade – Complete with multiple compartments and original carrying handle. This handmade box is finished in red and black lacquer with finely carved decorations of mythical animals and geometric motifs. It consists of three stackable compartments with lid and wooden carrying frame. Probably mid 20th century (ca. 1950–1980).
In good used condition with light lacquer damage appropriate to age. Inner side neat.
Very decorative and ideal as a collectible item or as distinctive interior decoration.
