Bowl - Porcelain - Lidded jar

A Chinese porcelain covered jar, of rounded form with a domed lid. The lid is surmounted by a piece of fruit.

The body is delicately enameled in famille verte colors — including shades of green, pink, iron-red, and aubergine — and decorated with lively scenes of children at play in a garden setting. The figures are shown carrying banners and small gongs, surrounded by stylized foliage and landscape elements. Similar figural decoration continues onto the lid.

The jar stands on a short, slightly tapered foot and retains its original fitted cover.

The jar is in good condition.
