Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
E. Lacost Poliphone Wasp violin, manufactured in 1917, in excellent physical condition and in working order, with 16 vibrating strings and a detachable design.
Description from the seller
Violin unique signed E.Lacost 1917.
This violin is detachable. Personally, I have never seen in my career a violin like this with 16 vibrating strings that are linked with a two-part soul/core making the connection between the top plate and the back that vibrate while you play and you get the impression that it's a whole violin group or an orchestra group playing.
I had shown the violin to an expert luthier who told me that he had never seen that.
On the internet, there are plenty of pocket violins but they are not detachable and they do not have vibrating strings inside, which makes me think it’s a unique model made by someone very innovative and creative.
This violin, is a unique and rare piece that has travelled through time without being damaged thankfully and should have its place in a museum or a private collection.
