Cartier - Lighter - Gold-plated, Gold, Lacquer

Hello, this week I am offering for sale this magnificent red lacquer Cartier lighter, an elegant and timeless model, emblematic of Cartier’s craftsmanship from the 1970s to the 1990s. A refined piece highly sought after by luxury-object enthusiasts and collectors.

The body is 18k plated gold, 20 microns. The piece is in very good overall condition, as visible in the photos. The gold plating is well present, with slight signs of wear over time, notably a few areas where the gilding is slightly attenuated, without affecting the aesthetic or charm of the item. Also note a very discreet small ding on the top of the lid, visible in the photo, which is hardly noticeable once the lighter is in hand.

Faithful to Cartier’s rigor and elegance, this lighter is in perfect working order: strong and steady ignition, stable flame, and perfectly adjusted. The wheel has been lubricated with Moebius watch oil for smooth, snag-free operation, and the interior has been carefully cleaned. It remains deliberately “unpolished” to preserve its authenticity and original character.

The red lacquer shows good depth and does not exhibit any major flaws. Only very light micro-scratches from use, visible under certain light, normal for an item of this era and not detracting from its elegance.
