Les montants et la caisse de résonance témoignent d’un usage rituel et musical ancien, avec une patine profonde révélant le temps et l’authenticité de la pièce.

Chez les Lega, la harpe n’est pas seulement un instrument de musique : elle joue un rôle symbolique dans les rites initiatiques du Bwami, associée à la transmission du savoir, à la sagesse et à l’harmonie sociale.
