Antique Luigi Filippo trumeau from circa 1850–1900, in solid wood with walnut veneer, Italian origin (Veneto), in good condition with age-related marks, dimensions 252 cm high, 170 cm wide, 68 cm deep, featuring a central fall-front with writing desk interior and original brass fittings.

Important Trumeau Luigi Filippo – Mid 19th Century (circa 1850)
Magnificent Italian trumeau from the mid-1800s, from the Luigi Filippo era, crafted in solid wood and veneered in walnut burl of extraordinary quality. A piece with great visual impact, characterized by sinuous yet elegant lines typical of the period.
The lower part features an elegant curved front with four central drawers arranged on multiple levels, flanked by additional shaped side drawers. Central fall-front with a desk interior, ideal as a salon or study writing desk. Original period brass handles and escutcheons.
The upper gallery is embellished with doors with burl panels and two central mercury-mirror doors, framed by a refined arched profile. The upper crown is richly shaped and dynamic, giving momentum and prominence to the whole.
A high-quality piece of cabinetmaking, with splendid grain and a warm original patina. Perfect for classical interiors, historic houses, or as a significant decorative piece in modern contexts.
