Description from the seller

Large Scheurich floor vase with iconic glaze, circa 1970

This dreamily glazed floor or sideboard vase from the cult label Scheurich impresses with its deep red and brown nuanced glaze, which psychologcally stands for energy, warmth, and presence and inevitably captivates the viewer’s gaze – an object that radiates emotion and strength and enlivens any room. The elegant timeless language of form is still inspired by the 1960s: honest, architectural, and uncompromising in its materiality, making the vessel simultaneously sculptural and timeless.

This expressive piece was produced by the renowned Scheurich manufactory, known for high-quality German ceramic art and for combining traditional craftsmanship with modern form. Scheurich vases enjoy international prestige and are regarded as collectible examples of European ceramics of the 20th century – ideal for collectors, design lovers, and connoisseurs of extraordinary objects.

Bottom mark: Scheurich Keramik 239-41 West Germany.

Insured shipping with tracking and impact-resistant packaging is of course guaranteed.
