A tall, slender Jugendstil plant table in solid oak dating from 1920–1930, with a circular 20 cm top, height 102 cm, width 25 cm and depth 25 cm, showing good quality oak with an even patina and discreet lower reinforcements for stability.
Description from the seller
A tall and slender Jugendstil plant table in solid oak, dating to the early 20th century. The design is characteristically vertical in emphasis, with restrained ornament and an elegant, architectural stance typical of the period.
The circular top measures approximately 20 cm in diameter, giving the piece a notably narrow footprint. Its height and proportions make it particularly suitable for displaying a single plant, vase, or small sculptural object where elevation rather than surface area is desired.
The oak is of good quality, showing a well-developed, even patina consistent with age. The surface has matured attractively, with subtle tonal variation that enhances the grain. At some point, discreet additional support elements were introduced to the lower section to improve stability and weight-bearing capacity. These reinforcements have been carefully executed and are practically invisible in normal use, without detracting from the table’s appearance.
